Roane waiting for offers

Richmond (Va.) Varina running back Rodney Roane is picking up interest. The 6-foot-1, 199-pounder still doesn't hold an offer, but numerous Division-I programs are checking him out.
"A lot of schools have been coming by," he said. "Ones like Syracuse, Rutgers, Clemson, ECU, Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Marshall.

"They are just talking to me and want me to come to camp over the summer. They also remind me to keep my grades up."
Roane plans to participate in a few camps soon.
"The team is going to NC State this summer and going to get up to Louisville on June 10th and Georgia Tech later in July."
Recently the Richmond back went to the Adidas Elite camp.
"It went well," he said. "I did fine in the drills and one-on-ones were a good experience. I think I mainly showed the coaches my athletic ability."
Currently Roane claims no favorites.
"Schools have got to offer me before I say anything like that."
Last season the Commonwealth tailback ran for 774 yards on 124 carries and 11 touchdowns.
