Road report: Arizona

Recruiting wrap: Carman is committed to Utah.
Performance: Carman was a big reason for Mountain Pointe's offensive success. He's become much stronger as a senior and has the frame to add even more size, which he will need to do in order to be effective in college. Carman moves incredibly well and is becoming a better run-blocker. He will benefit from a redshirt season in college, but the Utes have landed an under-recruited prospect that could grow into a mainstay on their offensive line down the road.

ATH
Chase Lucas (2016)
Chandler, Ariz.
Recruiting wrap: Just a junior, Lucas already holds seven scholarship offers. UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State seem like early favorites because Lucas wants to stay relatively close to home.
Performance: Lucas can do it all. He's put up bigger numbers in games this season, but it's not as though he was shut down on Friday night, either. He broke his share of long runs and showed the acceleration and elusiveness that have made him one of the region's top juniors. Lucas could stand to get stronger, but there's a small chance he stays at running back when he hits the FBS level. Instead, the four-star prospect projects as a wide receiver.

DB
Mason Moran (2016)
Chandler, Ariz.
Recruiting wrap: Moran has offers from Colorado and Boston College. The Buffaloes seem to be the favorites.
Performance: Moran was possibly the most active player on the field. He was in on seemingly dozens of tackles and had an impressive pass breakup along the sideline in which he was able to out-jump a wide receiver to knock the ball away at its high point. Moran is a converted quarterback, which gives him an advantage when it comes to understanding the opposing offense. Moran needs to add muscle and he's never showcased elite speed, but his motor and his length make him an interesting safety prospect.

OL
Davis Perrott
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe
Recruiting wrap: Perrott blew up late in the process and now holds 11 scholarship offers. His finalists are Washington State, California, Boise State, Indiana and Washington State, all of which have received or will receive official visits.
Performance: Perrott has fantastic size and is as aggressive a run-blocker as an FBS coaching staff would like. He has some footwork issues when it comes to pass protection, but it's nothing that raises a red flag. Perrott finishes blocks well and can drive defensive linemen using his massive legs and upper-body power.
6
WR
N'Keal Harry (2016)
Chandler, Ariz.
Recruiting wrap: Arizona State recently became the first school to offer Harry, who will likely garner his share of other opportunities in the near future.
Performance: Harry went through highs and lows. He had an important touchdown reception early, but also dropped a crucial pass that bounced off his hands in the fourth quarter. When you factor in Harry's upside and his fantastic length, the good almost always outweighs the bad. Harry is a big part of Chandler's passing attack for good reason. He has all the physical tools and still a full season to grow as a receiver before he reaches the college level.

RB
Paul Lucas
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe
Recruiting wrap: Lucas holds 10 scholarship offers. UCLA and Arizona State are thought to be among the favorites to land his commitment should he qualify academically.
Performance: Lucas was extremely limited and played few snaps before leaving the game with an undisclosed injury. He seemed to be favoring his shoulder and his hip on the sideline during the contest. Lucas' effectiveness is predicated on pure speed. When he is healthy and clicking, there are few players in America that can chase him down, but his vision and durability are concerns. Lucas is a player with massive upside.
OTHER PROSPECTS
DB
Isaiah Pola-Mao (2017)
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe
Pola-Mao is one of the most interesting sophomores in the state. He has incredible length and breaks on the ball extremely well for a young prospect. It's not out of the question that Pola-Mao grows into the top player in the state by the time he is a senior. He is cousins with NFL star Troy Polamalu.
RB
Brandyn Leonard (2017)
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe
Leonard got an increased number of reps in Lucas' absence and showcased a nice blend of speed and power. He's not nearly as fast as Lucas but isn't lacking for speed, either. The power with which he runs is a nice bonus. Leonard has no scholarship offers as of now, but can almost certainly help some level of college team.
