Class of 2015 New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Catholic wide receiver Miles Boykin doesn't have any favorites just yet, but the Rivals250 prospect knows he's set to have a busy couple of months.
"I'm going to go out and see some more schools coming up," the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder said.
Among the schools likely to get visits are Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan State and Illinois. Boykin said he planned on visiting Madison prior to the recent dead period, but the trip fell through.
"I don't really have a feel for them," he said of the Badgers. "I just want to get up there a get a feel and see what the program is about."
Coaches from Oregon were among one of the several schools that stopped by to see Boykin last month, and he said he was flattered by the interest from the Ducks.
"I was excited when Oregon showed up," he said. "They told me that they were the only reason they stopped in the whole Midwest."
As far as when and where he'll take those upcoming trips, Boykin said he's not exactly sure.
"I'm going to make sure I get to Oregon, Michigan State and I'll probably be back at Illinois," he said. "I'm going to try to go to as many places as I can."
While most schools see Boykin as a receiver, Ohio State and Ole Miss are currently recruiting him as a tight end. He said an offer from the Buckeyes is one he's really hoping to add to his list, even if it isn't at his natural position.
"Ohio State is going to offer pretty soon I think," he said. "That's one I'm waiting on. I'm open to tight end. I think I can do it. If they think I can do it I think I can do it."
