Jamil Kamara is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the Mid-Atlantic. Virginia has been the favorite to land a commitment from the Rivals250 presented by Under Armour wide receiver for quite a while, but it seems like Pittsburgh is making up serious ground.
Recently, the 6-foot-1, 202-pound Kamara talked to former Panther and current NFL star LeSean McCoy and freshman phenom wide receiver Tyler Boyd. It sounds as though both improved Kamara's view of Pitt.
"I heard a lot of good things from Tyler," Kamara said. "I've talked to LeSean McCoy before because he is my uncle's friend. It was nice hearing from him again.
"Pitt's offense is looking pretty good right now," he said. "Virginia's offense is looking good, too, but I still need to see some more games from both."
"Pitt is definitely recruiting me the hardest," Kamara said. "I might try to get up to the Pitt game against Virginia game next weekend.
"I'll probably take some official visits during October and November," he said. "I'll probably take my official visit to Pitt for the Notre Dame game. I'll probably do my official visit to Virginia when they play Virginia Tech or Clemson."
Karama said he will likely name a top three after the season and announce his decision at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
