Rivals250 tight end Kyle Pitts has adjusted his commitment timeline and plans to announce his decision on Thursday. The Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood star breaks down his finalists below.
IN HIS OWN WORDS...
Georgia- "There isn't a lot of tight end depth at Georgia," Pitts said. "They have some good quarterbacks there. Coach Beamer and coach Smart are good people. Mark (Webb) and D'Andre (Swift) being there has no effect on me."
Florida- "A lot of guys are leaving Florida and they won't have a lot of depth when I would get there," he said. "I talked to coach Nord and to coach Seider and they are good guys."
Virginia Tech- "They were one of my first offers and I've built a relationship with them," said Pitts. "I've been down there a couple of times. They are good people. Coach Shibest and Coach Fuente are two coaches that I have good relationships with."
RIVALS' REACTION
With Georgia's recent addition of tight end John FitzPatrick, Virginia Tech and Florida seem like the two major contenders here. The Hokies have a long standing relationship with Pitts and his family but the lure play in the SEC at Florida may be too much. Virginia Tech did just beat Florida for Rivals100 defensive back Devon Hunter in the 2017 class and we could see this again.
