Rivals250 running back Mychale Salahuddin is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the country. The Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson star has the remainder of his recruitment mapped out with just four weeks until National Signing Day.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

"I’ve narrowed it down to a final four of USC, North Carolina, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh," Salahuddin said. "No more changes or anything like that coming. This weekend I’m going to Jacksonville for the Blue-Gray All-American Game. Next weekend is my official visit to Syracuse and the next weekend is my official visit to Pittsburgh. I’m just going to take these last two official visits and then make my decision. I’m going to hold off on committing until Signing Day.

"Syracuse has a lot of nice coaches, a good fan base, and they have nice life-after-football connections," he said. "Being able to stay on the east coast and getting the same thing I would’ve gotten if I had gone out to Cali is definitely something that got my attention.

"Pittsburgh has the same kind of criteria," said Salahuddin. "I’m looking for schools on the east coast where I can prosper even if I didn’t play football.

"There are definitely three important things that I’m looking for," he said. "My family needs to enjoy the whole process, life after football, and early playing time."

RIVALS' REACTION…

Syracuse and Pittsburgh seem to have emerged as the top two contenders for Salahuddin so these last official visits are obviously a very big deal. It's unlikely the former USC commit ends up back with the Trojans and Salahuddin's interest in the Tar Heels seem to have fallen off. The Syracuse and Pittsburgh coaching staffs have their work cut out for them.
