Rivals250 OT adds offers, schedules summer

Rivals250 offensive tackle Barrett Jones picked up three big offers in the past couple weeks. Who has pulled the trigger on offering the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder out of Memphis (Tenn.) Evangelical Christian School?
"I got offers from Florida, Georgia Tech and Stanford," he said. "They were all within the past couple weeks. It's an honor to continue to be recruited by schools like these. Stanford is the No. 1 public school in the country, Florida won the national championship last year and Georgia Tech had the No. 2 draft pick in the NFL. All three offers are big ones for me."

Of the offers, the Florida scholarship is huge for Jones.
"They speak for themselves, winning the national championship in football and basketball," he said. "I also hear they have pretty rigorous academics."
At this time, Jones claims there are no favorites, but that will change sometime this summer.
"I'm probably going to narrow my list down at the end of the summer around five for my five official visits. That's what I'm thinking right now," he said. "Mainly, I'm looking at the people and coaches. They'll be coaching you and the players will be your closest friends. I've got to want to win for my teammates and fit in at the college and athletic program."
Before doing that though, the Tennessee prospect plans to take quite a few visits this summer.
"First off I'm going to the Nike Camp in Missouri on Friday," he said. "Then I'm not sure when I'll start, but I'm going on visits to North Carolina, probably Miami, Florida and then a bunch of the SEC like Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Ole Miss. I may take a trip out West too to visit Stanford and UCLA."
