Rivals250 OL sorting through finalists

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High offensive lineman Peter White is considered one of the best offensive linemen in the country. This week, he is competing against some of the best defensive line prospects in the nation as he participates in the Under Armour All-American Game.
"It is an honor to be playing in this game," White said. "These are definitely the best players in the country you are going up against so you just have to push yourself and make yourself better every snap."

As for recruiting, the Rivals250 prospect shared the latest on his situation.
"I am down to three schools – Maryland, Miami, and Tennessee," White said. "I took an official visit to Maryland about two weeks ago. In about two weeks I am going to Tennessee and then the week after that I am going to Miami."
The 6-foot-5, 340-pound lineman talked a bit about his visit to College Park.
"Maryland was good, real good," White said. "All of the players were real nice. All of the coaches. It was all very nice."
In regards to Tennessee, who he will visit on January 16th, the Volunteers have been consistent even through a few coaching changes.
"Coach Fulmer was recruiting me when he was there and they kept the offensive line coach, Coach Adkins, but he just recently left to go to Syracuse but I am still interested in (Tennessee)," White said. "Coach Kiffin made an in-home visit. He talked about them trying to rebuild over there and change the whole design over there. He wants freshmen to come in and play early."
His third finalist, the Miami Hurricanes, announced this week they would not bring back offensive coordinator Patrick Nix. White had heard that development despite his recent travel.
"I saw it on the news," White said. "To be honest, I talk to Coach Hill and Coach Stoutland. I talked to Coach Hill yesterday but he didn't mention anything about it. It doesn't affect me though."
Once he gets back from his final official visit, White said a decision will likely come just prior to National Signing Day.
"I will probably decide a couple weeks after the Miami visit," White said. "I am looking for good academics, early playing time, and just somewhere that suits me the best."
White said all three of his finalists are recruiting him for offensive tackle.
