There have signs that this was coming but Rivals250 linebacker Payton Wilson has made it official. The Hillsborough (N.C.) Orange star has decommitted from North Carolina.

Wilson has been making the rounds this season and over the last few weeks. He has taken official visits to N.C. State and Notre Dame and has been increasingly in touch with Ohio State and Clemson about setting up visits.

The Army All-American linebacker is recovering from ACL surgery but will still be able to travel for more official visits.
