Chad Simmons is a Recruiting Analyst for Rivals.com. He was the expert on The Next Class on Fox Sports South from 2011-2015. He currently covers Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.

Usually we are reporting about elite athletes committing to Georgia, the program who won the recruiting title in 2018.

In recent days though, there has been new coming fast about talented prospects decommitting from the school in Athens.

Jadon Haselwood was first. Jalen Perry followed two days later. Now it is four-star linebacker JD Bertrand.

There has been chatter about this one coming for a little while now, so this is not a huge surprise. Bertrand is visiting Florida Saturday and he has been in regular contact with Gator linebacker coach Christian Robinson for some time.

Georgia Tech recently offered the four-star out of Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity. LSU targeted the Peach State senior early and the Tigers could be one to watch now too.
