Rivals250 G chooses five for officials

Rivals250 offensive guard Zhamal Thomas from New Iberia, La. had a setback with Hurricane Katrina, but the 6-foot-4, 335-pounder and his family have purchased a new home. Thomas has also been able to play his senior year of football.
"We just missed one game off the whole season and it's going pretty good," he said. "We're 2-7, but I've been doing really well. I've really improved on my quickness and a lot of stuff."

The four-star prospect still has official visits scheduled with Ole Miss on December 2nd and LSU on December 9th. He also plans to take his three other visits to Texas, Florida and Clemson.
"I like Texas and Florida because they are both pretty good schools with good environments," he said. "I like the coaches at Clemson. I've also been watching them since I was younger and that's another reason I like them."
A couple weeks back the No. 9 offensive guard in the country visited LSU for the Auburn game.
"I really liked it there as I got to see all the players and talk to the coaches," he said. "I also went into the locker rooms and everything was really nice. I'd say LSU might be a little in front of the rest of the schools right now."
