Rivals250 DT may be close to a decision

Rivals250 defensive tackle Isaac Holmes out of Hoboken, N.J. appears to have two schools leading for his services. The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder could be on the verge of a decision in the very near future.
"Actually there is a chance I could decide soon," he said. "My coaches want me to focus on my senior year and not have too much pressure on me. If I find a school I love I may verbally commit, but I may still consider taking a couple official visits and look around."

Holmes recently returned from one of his top schools, Maryland.
"I went to Maryland last Monday and I'm heading back there with my team on Thursday," he stated. "Actually, I love it at Maryland. They have been recruiting me since my freshman year in high school. I love it there, my cousin plays there and the coaching staff shows me a lot of love. Maryland is a big school in the race.
"Plus, I'm looking at criminal justice and they are right next to Washington D.C. That's the main place for all that stuff. I also believe I have a real good chance of playing early as a true freshman."
Maryland is one school up there, who else is a leader?
"I'd say Maryland and Rutgers are neck and neck," he said. "I've developed so many great relationships with the coaching staff at Rutgers and it is my home school. I wouldn't have to go very far."
While a decision is possible in the near future, the four-star prospect is also considering unofficial visits.
"I'm thinking about scheduling a trip to Florida sometime with my mom along with Oklahoma, Tennessee and Pittsburgh."
