Rivals250 defensive tackle Joshua Harris has taken advantage of some free time this month and made sure he sees as many schools as he can. Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech recently hosted the Roxboro (N.C.) Person star. Duke will get him on campus this weekend and a visit to Tennessee is in the works for some time in the next few weeks.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

Georgia- “We got to Georgia on Friday night,” Harris said. “They had some type of big ball. There were a lot of people on campus and in the streets just partying. It was different. Later we saw the campus, went through the facilities, and talked to the coaches. We talked about how it would be if I went there, what they could do for me, and how I could help them. It was pretty cool. They are coming up as program and I’m sure I could fit in there. I talked to a bunch of players there.”

North Carolina- “Everything went well there,” he said. “I really love coach Adams. He’s a great defensive line coach. Being an in-state school helps them. They were my second offer and N.C. State was my first.”

Virginia- “I was there for their junior day,” said Harris. “I met all the coaches and saw the facilities. I took a bunch pictures there. It’s a cool place and coach Vic is a good coach. I feel like I would fit in well there.”

Virginia Tech- “Coach Fuente was very different in a good way," he said. "We talked talked about how football is not a career and that it is a game. There is life after football and that’s what really counts. They have a ‘0’ technique all the time and they are one of the only colleges to do that. I like playing a ‘0’ technique because I can own my man. The defensive line coach is a great coach.

On his new Clemson offer- “Clemson has a great defense,” Harris said. “I love that defensive line with big Dexter Lawrence. I talk to coach Todd Bates and he’s a good coach.”

RIVALS’ REACTION...

Harris has been anxious to get out on the road and see some of the schools that are recruiting him the hardest. This series of visits was important for him but he wants to visit more schools before making any big decisions. N.C. State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Georgia have made strong impressions but Tennessee is lurking and so are some northern schools like Penn State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.
