Rivals250 DT has favorites

Washington (D.C.) Dunbar is a hotbed for recruiting talent. Last year the school produced five-star wide receiver Arrelious Benn and this year they have another top talent in Rivals250 to watch defensive tackle Reggie Ellis.
"He's got offers from Illinois, Maryland and Virginia," Dunbar head coach Craig Jeffries said. "I believe he's got a few favorites including Florida State, Auburn, Virginia and Tennessee. I personally think that Auburn and Virginia are the teams to beat for him. He's met the defensive line coach at Auburn and that's a dream school for him and he's a fan of them. He also like Mike London from Virginia when he met him at summer camp."

Obviously Ellis has the talent earning all-league, all-state and first team U.S. Army All-American Combine honors in the past year. What makes him stand out as a prospect?
"He's real quick and athletic," he said. "He's got good hands and a good first step. He's also a strong kid. He knows how to get off blocks really well and is very athletic for a guy his size. He plays with a low pad level.
"Reggie is also a good student with a 3.8 GPA. He's a really good kid to be around and has a great attitude. He's a hardworker that doesn't mind putting in the effort. I think the only thing he needs to work on is getting faster and bigger. He probably could easily get up to 290-pounds."
