Rivals250 DT has favorite

Shreveport (La.) Woodlawn has not been known as a hotbed for college recruits but that has changed a bit as of late. Rivals250 linebacker and U.S. Army All-American Torshiro Davis hailed from the school in the class of 2012 and yet another top defender is in the class of 2013.
Defensive tackle Christopher Robinson is a Rivals250 selection himself and recently earned first-team honors at the U.S. Army National Combine and the 6-foot-2, 260-pound junior has one SEC offer so far.

"There's not really too much going on that's new right now," Robinson said. "I still just have the Mississippi State offer for right now."
Robinson was recently able to make the trip to an in-state program for an unofficial visit and liked what he saw.
"I went to LSU for their junior day," he said. "I liked it a lot. It was great down there. They didn't really talk to me about an offer though."
Robinson has one more trip planned this month as well.
"I'm going down to the University of Texas for their junior day in two weeks, on (Feb.) 25," he said.
"I haven't really talked to their coaches yet. My coach told me they invited me down there for the junior day so we're supposed to be going down there."
Texas took notice of Robinson when they were scouting Davis, who eventually flipped to the Longhorns from his longtime LSU commitment on signing day. If Robinson had things his way, the two could reunite in Austin.
"I like Texas," he admitted. "That's my top school. I've liked since I went down there during my 10th grade year. Torshiro going there helps too."
Robinson is currently ranked as the No. 229 overall prospect in the initial Rivals250 for the class of 2013.
