Rivals250 DT claims three lead

Rivals250 defensive tackle Isaac Holmes took his first official visit back in September. The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder continues to have his list mostly narrowed to five schools, although three are leading at this time.
"To tell you the truth there are a few schools that stand out the most," he said. "Three stand out, they would probably have to be Maryland, Pittsburgh and Florida.

"They are great programs. I've felt comfortable with those coaching staffs and the players. Maryland is a place I could see myself at. I like the staff at Pittsburgh too. They have shown me the most interest since recruiting has started and Florida I really enjoyed my visit."
Holmes continues to look at Rutgers and Penn State as well.
At this time, the four-star prospect hasn't scheduled any other trips.
"Nothing is official at this time," he said. "Most likely after the season I'll take more visits. I haven't been on any unofficial visits either.
"Mostly, I want to go and visit these programs to see if I feel comfortable with the team, if I feel I could be there for the next four or five years."
Holmes and Hoboken, N.J. are currently 2-2 on the year.
"We're still looking good," he said. "I think I'm playing well right now and have started three games. I did excellent in all three. I missed one due to an ankle injury.
"I have had at least eight tackles in each game and have two sacks on the season. I can tell I'm much stronger and quicker off the ball. It seems like I'm unstoppable.
"I still always need to improve. I want to gain different techniques. There is always need for improvement."
