Rivals250 DE soaking it in

Aberdeen (Miss.) strongside defensive end Channing Ward has an offer list that rivals just about any junior in the South. What he apparently doesn't have is a clue about which school he might ultimately pick.
At this stage, he's perfectly fine with that.

"Right now," Ward told Rivals.com, "they're all about the same. No leaders yet. I'm just soaking it all in."
What is the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder, a member of the Rivals250 to watch for 2012, looking for in a college?
"I want to go somewhere I can become a man," Ward said. "It doesn't matter about a national championship or bowl games. Just a place that helps me become a better man. I'm wide open."
Thus far, Ward, who has a dozen offers, including ones from programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame and Tennessee, has attended three junior days in 2011.
"I've been to LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss," Ward said. "I think I'm done [with junior day visits]."
Ward, who isn't a big talker, spoke briefly about the schools he has checked out.
LSU: "You feel like you're at home there. They've got great coaches and it's a good program, a winning program. They compete for national championships."
Mississippi State: "It's a team on the rise. They're got a good program coming."
Ole Miss: "I hope they do better this year. It's pretty nice down there."
Ward is hopeful he can visit a few more schools this spring, and watch practice while he's on campus.
"I want to go see Georgia, and some schools like South Carolina and North Carolina," Ward said. "I want to visit schools that aren't close to home."
