Rivals250 DB talks three finalists, previews decision

With his decision less than two weeks away, Class of 2015 and Rivals250 defensive back Xavier Lewis has cut his list to three schools.
"My finalists are LSU, Texas and Oklahoma State," he said. "I'm going to commit sometime between July 7-10, but I don't know which date yet."

Lewis eliminated Texas A&M and UCLA with the cut, saying he needed to narrow his focuse because he's still not entirely decided.
"I'm still deciding," he said. "I'm going to know when I announce but right now I'm weighing my options as long as I can."
Lewis shared his thoughts on each of his finalists:
LSU: "It's the home state and I grew up loving them. The whole coaching staff is really enthusiastic about their jobs and I've built a good relationship with CoachWilson and Coach Raymond and Coach Miles. It would be home; I would be playing for my home state so it gives me something to think about. I was just there recently for the Bayou Picnic. I'm always comfortable at LSU because I've been around it so long. I just feel comfortable already."
Texas: "I love Texas' campus. Coach Strong is very enthusiastic about his new job. Coach Strong works with the defensive backs and he's really hands on with them. It's not just about coaching and up and getting them as players but being there as a father figure and building them up as men. I talk to Coach Vaughn a lot. He recruits me very hard. We talk frequently and we have a good relationship."
Oklahoma State: "They're known for offense but they just produced Justin Gilbert so they tell me about that. I just camped at Oklahoma State and I loved the facilities. Coach Malone is a very cool coach and we're building our relationship as we speak and I think Stillwater is a nice place."
