Rumors swirled that Rivals250 safety Joseph Ibiloye had made a commitment to Oklahoma following the Sooners' camp.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back said that he had discussed things over with his family after his visit and cleared up the rumors.
"The rumors are true, I committed to Oklahoma yesterday afternoon," Ibiloye said. "The reason I didn't want to announce it yet because I wanted to let the coaches at Texas A&M know. Going up to Oklahoma, I knew I was going to do it. I really like coach (Brent) Venables and coach (Bobby Jack) Wright.
"I think I can fit in really well in Oklahoma's defense. I liked all the offers, but Oklahoma was the school I could see myself going to."
Ibiloye, the four-star prospect, said that he was excited about being recruited for the "Royback" position at Oklahoma.
When asked if he was going to still look at other schools, Ibiloye said that he didn't anticipate looking at any other offers.
Ibiloye's commitment is the tenth total for the Sooners and the seventh from the state of Texas.
