Rivals250 DB high on Clemson, Oregon, UGA

Rivals250 and Tucker (Ga.) defensive back Duke Shelley has seen plenty of coaches come by campus during the spring evaluation period, but three big programs in particular continue to weigh heavy on his mind, including one that was his very first offer.
"Clemson just came by school the other day," he said. "They were the first school to offer me so that still means a lot. They said they want to make sure we stay in touch going forward."

The Tigers have come in and out of the picture since initially offering last summer during camp, but Shelley said he and defensive backs coach Mike Reed talk regularly now.
"I talk to Coach Reed a lot," he said. "He's not my primary recruiter but he's the position coach so we've been building a good relationship."
Oregon is a school that has yet to offer Shelley, but he said he hopes to change that with improved transcripts following this semester and a visit to Eugene in the near future.
"I plan on visiting Oregon this summer," he said. "I have a lot of interest in them and I've been talking a lot with Coach Neal. They came practice last week, too. I'm getting to know him well. They're waiting to see my grades but by the end of this semester I should have everything situated."
While he waits on an offer from the Ducks, Shelley is also hoping to use the summer to impress the coaches at Georgia.
"I'll probably go to Dawg Night and camp there," Shelley said. "Coach Pruitt wants me to go there and show what I can do. Oregon and Georgia are the two offers I really hope to get."
