Class of 2015 Nashville (Tenn.) John Overton and Rivals250 cornerback Ugo Amadi already has six offers but he's planning on watching that list grow in the coming weeks and months. He's all planning on getting out and getting better acquainted with some of the schools on his list.
"Recruiting is going great right now," Amadi said. "I'm look at new schools and I'm going to start taking visits soon. I'm excited."
Among the new schools showing interest in Amadi are Purdue and Georgia Tech, but as been the case for months the in-state Tennessee Volunteers are hot on his trail.
"Tennessee really loves me and the fans love me as well," Amadi said. "They have a new year in 2014 to see what the new guys can do and they might surprise some people."
Amadi works out with a group of players in Nashville that includes current, former and probably future Vols. He said that they're on him about joining Tennessee's class.
"A lot of them try to talk to me just because they I grew up with them they think that there's no reason we shouldn't continue it at the next level," he said. "We'll just have to see how things go."
As far as the schools he would like to add to his offer list in the future, Amadi named three he's interested in.
"I'd like to get those offers from Purdue, Georgia Tech and Ohio State," he said. "I like everybody but none of them are No. 1 to me yet."
When it comes to visits Amadi knows he'll be busy in the Southeast, but he's hoping to make at least one trip to North Carolina to get a better look at Duke.
"I want to visit Duke," he said. "I really want to visit there. They're changing what they're doing. It's a good school with a good coach and the team is rebuilding."
