Rivals250 ATH returns from UNC

Rivals250 athlete A.J. Alexander out of Altoona, Pa. took his second official visit of the season this past weekend. The 6-foot-0, 180-pounder made his way down to the Tar Heel State to check out North Carolina.
"It was a great visit," he said. "I liked it down there. I got there Saturday morning and left on Monday.

"While there, I ate a lot since that's what you do on official visits. I got to see the campus and went to a football and basketball game. I also met all the coaches and players saw everything there is about North Carolina."
What impressed Alexander about the visit?
"The facilities and campus," he said. "They are real nice and the school is so clean. I haven't seen anything like that."
The four-star prospect was hosted on the visit by wide receiver Greg Little.
"He was real cool," he said. "He just told me about the program and he said they are going to be real good in a couple years."
Of course a major component of the visit was the game against Maryland. Alexander touched on that for a bit too.
"That was good," he said. "Their offense runs a lot of good players and the receivers are good. They told me they already have big receivers, but they need ones that are short and speedy.
"The crowd there was good too. It was sold out and I know they are adding on to the stadium, so it's only going to get bigger."
On Sunday, Alexander met with the coaches for a bit including head coach Butch Davis.
"I got to talk to Coach Shoop and Coach Davis," he said. "It was great. Coach Shoops knows everything there is about offense, he could go on for days. He and Butch Davis talked about all the draft picks at Miami.
"I also talked to Coach Davis about the future of the program, the people they are going after and how they are adding on to the stadium. I liked him a lot. Overall I had a great time."
What's next for the No. 17 athlete in the country?
"I think I'm going on a Clemson visit, but I'm not sure when yet," he said. "I may go to visits to Pittsburgh and Penn State probably in January."
There have been rumors about a Florida visit later this month. Is that still on tap?
"More than likely not, I haven't talked to them in awhile."
Alexander confirmed he still has no favorites at this time.
