Rivals250 ATH Ramsey has 21 offers

According to junior athlete Jalen Ramsey of Brentwood Academy (Tenn.), his recruitment won't be one of those that drags out longer than it needs to.
"When I feel comfortable with a school, I will let the school know," Ramsey told Rivals.com. "I'll never just let it go on if I know where I'm going."

Right now, Ramsey has 21 offers, with the most recent coming from Arkansas, Duke, Louisville and Virginia. What he doesn't have is a leader. Or leaders.
"At this point, everyone is even," Ramsey said. "I am looking to narrow it down pretty soon, probably toward the end of the school year. I'll definitely have a top five or a top eight-ish around then."
Thus far in 2012, the 6-feet, 183-pound Ramsey has visited Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Next up, he is expected to stop by Vanderbilt on Friday, then hit Mississippi State on March 31.
"The SEC schools are recruiting me really hard right now - UT, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas and Mississippi State," Ramsey said.
Ramsey's upcoming visit to Mississippi State will be his first to Starkville.
"Mississippi State can definitely be in the running," Ramsey said. "I only know a little about them. That's why I'm going on the visit so I can learn more. I talk to them almost every week. Most schools see me as a cornerback. Schools like Mississippi State feel like I can get the ball in my hands on offense as well."
What is Ramsey looking for in a college?
"It's a lifelong decision, so academics is one thing," he said. "I want a great degree to fall back on. Also, the people who support the program. That's two things I'll definitely consider."
Despite all the offers, Ramsey said he hasn't let things go to his head.
"It's still exciting because I feel it's a blessing," he said.
