Rivals100 WR still has leader

Marquis Johnson knows that he's a leader. He just hopes that he can take his leadership to the next level in college.
"I think coaches are looking for leaders," Johnson, who is 6-foot-3 and 198 pounds, said.

"It doesn't matter if those leaders are freshmen or seniors. Age doesn't mean anything if you're a good leader. I think I can handle the role."
He can also handle the responsibility of being one of the nation's best receivers and one of the best players overall in the Midwest. He is a five-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 3 receiver in the nation.
So, it's not a surprise that teams from coast-to-coast are after Johnson. Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Alabama and Washington are the teams currently on Johnson's list.
So does he still have a leader?
"Texas is the team to beat," Johnson said. "I'm going to visit Austin sometime here in September. I haven't set the visit date, quite yet, but I know that it'll be in September."
A few teams have moved up Johnson's list, though.
"Alabama and Washington have come into it now," Johnson said. "We will have to wait and see what the coaches say when they call. Michigan State is also somebody I'm thinking more about. I like them a lot and it hadn't been that way in the past."
