Rivals100 WR Jalen Curry set to visit 'dream school' Ohio State

NEW ORLEANS, La. – All the top programs vying for a commitment from Rivals100 wide receiver Jalen Curry have a little more to worry about after National Signing Day now that Ohio State has entered the picture.

The Buckeyes were part of a recent flurry of schools that had somehow made it this far without having already offered him, but better late than never.

“The last couple of weeks I have been receiving some huge offers,” he said. “Ohio State was one of the big ones - which is my dream school - I’m building a relationship with the coaches. I’ve visited LSU twice as well, Coach [Ed Orgeron] and Coach Mickey (Joseph) have showed me that I am a huge priority for them and they really want me there.”

Curry was most recently in Baton Rouge prior to competing in last weekend’s Pylon 7-on-7 tournament in New Orleans. His KB3 Elite team advanced to the quarterfinals, but the true highlight of the weekend may have been when the team made a collective unofficial visit to LSU.

“It was good seeing some of my teammates get to see something new,” he said. “I was happy for them to see that stuff and it was just another chance for me to build up that relationship with the coaches, really.”

Curry has long been a target of several SEC teams and LSU seems prepared to make a strong push for him, but everyone will be giving him their best shot. He plans to graduate early and focus heavily on the visits he takes this offseason, which will certainly include a trip to Columbus.
