Rivals100 star names decision date

A Rivals100 member and one of the nation's best running backs has set a date for when he'll announce his choice of colleges.

Andrew Johnson is one of the most high-profile recruits coming out of the Keystone State this year, and he said he will choose one of two schools.

"Like I've said, it will be either Ohio State or Pitt," said the 6-foot-0, 205-pound running back from Pittsburgh (Pa.) North Hills. "I have a press conference scheduled for July 22 at 6:00PM at PNC Park. That's when I'll make my decision."

Any hints as to who he might choose?

"No, no hints," he laughed. "I'm going to make it as much of a surprise as I can. Hopefully people won't know about the choice I'll make until I officially announce it. I already know which school I'm going to choose, but I'm not leaving any hints. Just think of it as a 50-50 deal for Ohio State and Pitt."

There had been some talk that Johnson might try to announce with quarterback Anthony Morelli of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills. Is that still the case?

"No, he's probably going to make his decision after I make mine. We haven't really talked, so we'll just do our own press conferences individually."
