Rivals100 RB has top 8

When recruitneks talk of the best running backs out of the abundant crop in California for the class of 1010, one name is sure to always appear and that name is Jordon James (5-10, 190, 4.4) from Corona, Calif. The talented running back was leading the state in rushing until he broke his arm in the fourth game of the season.
In approximately three and half games, James rushed for 1,132 and 10 touchdowns as a junior. James has been keeping his feet in shape by running track.

"Everything is going good," James said. "I'm currently running track and I have qualified in the 100-meter and 200-meter for the League Meet."
Offers have been coming fast as a James dash to the end zone. He currently has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, Colorado, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Duke, Florida, Tennessee, San Diego State and Notre Dame.
The word is Northwestern is on the cusp of offering the talented running back.
Talk about a track meet college coaches have been sprinting to Corona high school this spring to check James out. Last week UCLA and Florida showed up on campus. As of Tuesday (May 5th), Oregon, Oregon State and Minnesota visited the school.
Coming soon to Corona will be coaches that represent Arizona, Washington, Notre Dame and Oklahoma, plus some of the schools that have already been on campus will be back for a return visit.
James is enjoying the recruiting process and is taking all the attention in stride.
"I like the recruiting process and I'm not stressing it at all," James said. "It's the only time I'll ever go through it."
James plans to take in a couple of camps this summer.
"I'm going to Florida in July for the Friday Night Light Camp," James said. "It is an invite only for elite players in the entire nation."
"In June, I'm going to Colorado's camp with my team," James said. "We did that last year, too. That's it as far as camps for now."
"I want to visit a lot of schools before I make my decision, but I think I have a top eight," James said. "They are Florida, UCLA, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Stanford, Arizona, Washington and Tennessee."
"They are all great programs and some of them are among the best academic schools in the nation," James said. "I starting to my research right now."
In an earlier interview, James said that he was going to make his decision known during the All-American game he's going to participate in.
James is a good student who carries a 3.4 GPA.
James was selected to the preseason Rivals.com Rivals100 team for the class of 2010 landing as the nation's No.97 prospect at any position.
