"Tennessee was where I felt the most comfortable," Creer said. "They have a great recruiting class."
The four-star Tatum, Texas running back, had been on several surprising visits including a late one to Alabama in the middle of this past week. He had previously visited Tennessee and Oklahoma.
"I made my decision last night," Creer said. "I talked with my family. They talked to me about Alabama, but it was just Tennessee."

Creer was recruited by Tennessee wide receivers coach Trooper Taylor.
"Trooper Taylor was a big factor," Creer said. "We got close, he was like family."
The East Texas running back was rated as the state's No. 8 overall prospect and No. 57 in the Rivals100.
Creer will be joined at Tennessee by Tatum teammate Darnius Moore. The three-star athlete also officially announced his intentions to play for the Vols at the press conference.
