Rivals100 RB committed, but planning visits

McKinney (Texas) McKinney North Rivals100 running back Ronald Jones II committed to Oklahoma State in early April, and the decision was really quite simple.
"I wanted to be close to home," Jones said. "The coaching staff won me over. I felt like I could trust them. Then with my sister being there I'm really familiar with the college and the campus. Things like that."

He also liked how the Cowboys' coaches planned to use him.
"They told me things like how they're going to throw to me out of the backfield and go on streaks and go in motion and line up in the slot and do some kick returning and things like that," Jones said. "That excites me to go out on the field and not just run the ball."
His commitment has not kept other schools away and he does have plans to check out a few programs.
"No sir, I'm going to wait (to visit) until my officials," Jones said. "Actually, I might do some (unofficial visits) this summer, but for out of state schools probably not. I'm actually going to Oklahoma State two weeks after this. "
Texas A&M and Baylor are both possibilities for visits during the summer months and when it comes to his official visits he has a few more plans.
"Oklahoma State, USC, Baylor, Texas A&M, and Ohio State or Notre Dame one of those two," Jones said.
So do Oklahoma State fans and coaches have anything to worry about?
"I want to see how the season goes too so if they have a really bad season or something, but for now it's Oklahoma State," Jones said.
Jones competed at the Rivals.com Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge and is currently ranked No. 43 in the Rivals100 and is the nation's No. 3 ranked running back.
