Rivals100 RB Anthony McFarland releases top 10

Anthony McFarland, one of the best running backs in the 2017 class, has named a top ten. The Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha star narrowed his list of scholarship offers down from close to 30.

Maryland, Miami, and Alabama are seen as three of the major standouts on McFarland's top ten. The Terps have many strong connections to DeMatha and to McFarland so the Terps will likely be in the mix until the end. He was very high on Mark Richt and Thomas Brown while they were at Georgia and he continues to be very high on them now that they are at Miami. McFarland just visited Alabama and he really likes the running back tradition there. Former Maryland offensive coordinator and interim head coach Mike Locksley is on the staff at Alabama as well and McFarland has a very strong relationship with him.
