Rivals100 prospect names top five

There is no question that four-star athlete prospect Anthony Barr (6-4, 230, 4.55) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola is one of the nation's most versatile football players.
Barr plays running back for Loyola, but could play a number of position on the D-I level. Some think he can play anywhere from running back, wide receiver, tight end, defensive end, linebacker or safety. No wonder the talented Barr has 20 offers on the table.

There are five lucky schools that are Barr's current five.
"Notre Dame, Cal, UCLA, USC and Florida," Barr said. "Florida hasn't officially offered yet, but they said they are going to. I haven't received anything, so I am not sure about that."
It isn't surprising that USC linebacker coach Ken Norton Jr. has impressed Barr as he is one of the best recruiters in the Pac 10, plus he has a lot of positives to sell.
"USC is a great program and they have been for the past eight or nine years or so," Barr said. "I just like the way they play the game and the way the coaches, coach. I really like that and enjoy that."
Is USC overshadowing their cross town rival UCLA for Barr's attention?
"No, not really," Barr said. "I think the UCLA Bruins are going to be on the up-and-coming and they are going to have a good class and they are looking good.
"From talking to coach Rick Neuheisel, I'm really feeling comfortable with him. He seems like a good person and I have a lot of interest in them. Ah, I think I like UCLA a little more."
Though he hasn't visited Cal yet, the Bears are also very much on Barr's mind.
"I have just been talking to the coaches and learning more of what they have to offer for as the school goes and the athletics," Barr said. "I think they are one of the best programs out there. I'm trying to make it up there this summer, but I'm still working on that."
Though Barr has an early top five schools, like many prospects that are heavily recruited, that list is subject to change.
Barr earned a spot on the Rivals.com Rivals100 for the class of 2010 landing as a the nation's No. 20 prospect at any position. Rivals.com currently ranks Barr as the country's No. 3 athlete prospect.
