Rivals100 OT Nelson plans visits

Spring break is always a prime time for recruits to make multiple visits. Quenton Nelson is going to take full advantage of his time off. The four-star offensive tackle from Red Bank (N.J.) Red Bank Catholic is working to schedule a series of visits this spring.
"Right now, I'm planning on going to Boston College on March 22 and 23, Ohio State on March 28 and 29, Northwestern on April 3 and 4, Notre Dameon April 5 and 6 and Rutgers on April 12 and 13," Nelson said.

"I actually might visit Duke and North Carolina before I go to Boston College," said the 6-foot-5, 282-pound Nelson. "I'm still trying to work that out. I'd go on March 15 and 16 but I don't know yet. I might also want to visit Vanderbilt and Stanford.
"I'm going to do the Rivals and Under Armour camp on April 27," he said. "I don't have plans yet to go to the Rutgers spring game but I am going to Penn State on April 20 for their spring game."
Nelson knows exactly what he needs to do on these visits so he can learn as much about each school as possible.
"Well, they're all two day visits," he said. "On the first day I'd like to see the facilities, the campus, talk to the academic support staff, talk to the coaches, discover more about their curriculum and get a feel for the on campus atmosphere. Then that night I would stay a night in the dorm with a player. The next day I would watch a spring practice and see firsthand how the coaches interact with the players and maybe go into some position meetings."
After doing all of these visits, Nelson will be that much closer to choosing a school.
"I'd like to make a decision right before the football season but if I'm not comfortable with any school or don't know 100 percent that I really like a school then I'm going to wait to commit," said Nelson.
Nelson is currently the number 66 overall player in the 2014 class.
