Rivals100 OT Logan Brown to reschedule Wisconsin visit

Wisconsin was the first to offer Rivals100 offensive tackle Logan Brown of East Kentwood (Mich.) and the class of 2019 prospect has made several visits to Madison since. This past weekend he planned to get his mother up to see the campus, but had to alter those plans.

THE LATEST

Brown is headed to Michigan this weekend to see the Wolverines host Michigan State. He finalized those plans on Monday with his recruiting contact in Ann Arbor, Chris Bryant. Other programs he would like to attend games at this season include Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State and Pittsburgh. The 11 a.m. CT kickoff for this past Saturday’s Wisconsin-Northwestern game in Madison was not particularly conducive to Brown’s own schedule, after playing a game on Friday night. The Badgers have four more home games, though, in which to reschedule.

IN HIS WORDS

“We weren’t going to end up getting there until kickoff and this whole trip was about getting my mom up there to meet the staff, the people and the players, so I said we’ll catch another game another time. I know I will be up there once or twice (this season) for sure, there’s no doubt about it, whenever my mom’s schedule (allows) because I have seen it and I want her to see it and see why I like it.”

RIVALS’ REACTION

Wisconsin certainly would like to get Brown on campus as many times as possible, but this postponement should not be taken as a negative so long as they are able to reschedule when his mother can spend more time on campus. The four-star lineman has already seen several Wisconsin home games, so another one is not going to generate a lot more bounce for the Badgers. Although he has taken a more open public stance recently, Brown has named Wisconsin his top school in the past and the Badgers are considered the team to beat in this recruitment. Any decision, though, would not be announced publicly until his senior season and there is still a lot of recruiting, and many more visits, to go before this one is over.
