Rivals100 OL Logan Brown scheduling summer trips

A productive spring brought in new offers for East Kentwood, Mich., four-star class of 2019 offensive tackle Logan Brown, who is now planning out his summer schedule.

“I am heading down to North Carolina in the middle of June for their Freak Show camp,” Brown said. “June 9 and 10 I will be at Wisconsin and Iowa.”

The trip to North Carolina closely follows his first visit to Chapel Hill that took place during his spring break. The Wisconsin visit will be his third since being offered by the Badgers at a camp last summer.

“This is more of an academic trip this time,” Brown said of Wisconsin. “They pretty much know when I come up I want to hang out with the guys a little bit, get a feel for the classrooms, professors and academic advisors.”

Iowa has yet to offer Brown, but he has received strong interest from the Hawkeyes and good feedback about their campus.

“My coach has visited their campus multiple times and I have heard many good things about their campus and their program,” Brown said.

Other trips Brown is trying to line up this summer include Michigan and Virginia Tech. The Hokies are among his most recent offers, along with Alabama and Vanderbilt. He has 15 total offers and a lot of research to do before rendering his college decision.

“I will probably say junior year going into senior year I would make a decision,” Brown said. “That way I could get settled in with the school I want to go to and get to know that situation even better.”

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Brown is currently preparing for the state track finals on Saturday. He has a personal best of 54-10 in the shot put this season.
