Ever since taking his official visit in early October, Florida State has been at the forefront of Landon Dickerson’s recruitment. On National Signing Day the Rivals100 offensive lineman from Hudson (N.C.) South Caldwell signed his National Letter of Intent with the Seminoles.

“I picked the Seminoles because I felt the most at home when I visited there,” said the 6-foot-5, 297-pound Dickerson. “I connected most with the coaching staff there. Our relationships have been the most consistent out of almost any school. I felt a connection between coach Trickett, coach Fisher, and all the coaches down there. I like all the guys they’re recruiting. I’m good friends with a lot of them. I think that program has a lot to offer.”

The bond that Dickerson has with offensive line coach Rick Trickett helped Florida State stand out among the rest.

“That was really a major factor for me,” he said. “I build relationships with people and I’m a people person so my relationship with coach Trickett was one of the main reasons I decided to go with Florida State. He said I would start out at guard and then through the years he wants to move me through all five positions.”

Dickerson’s feel on campus helped make the decision a little easier.

“I really liked the layout of the facilities they have at Florida State,” Dickerson said. “They’re definitely some of the nicest facilities I’ve been to. They’re all top notch. The way Florida State was laid out kind of clicked with me. It’s a beautiful campus and I think it’s a great place.”

Auburn, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee all got official visits from Dickerson.
