Rivals100 OL back from first trip

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson offensive lineman Donnie Woods is back from his first official visit and has re-worked his top list – but only slightly. So who lead the way for the Rivals100, four-star player?
Woods took his first official visit to North Carolina this past weekend and came away pretty impressed with the fans and how the Tar Heels never gave up against rival N.C. State.

“The fans were really into it,” Woods said. “They never gave up, and that’s something I was watching. The coaches were great and really positive after the game. They could have been down but they said they need guys like me to come in and help.”
UNC has now set the bar high for other teams to compare, but he said he lists the Tar Heels as his co-leaders along with Oklahoma, where he’ll visit on November 1. But before that he’s set to visit Tennessee on October 25.
“I have something to compare the other schools to now,” Woods said. “Coach Bunting was a great guy to talk to, and now I can go compare how he acted, talked and treated me with coach Stoops and coach Fulmer.”
As he’s pointed out before, he said he feels that North Carolina and Oklahoma are the two schools that he can get on the field quickest.
“I’d like to get a shot at playing as a freshman,” he said. “I don’t want to be automatically redshirted because I think I’m talented enough to at least get a shot at playing and I feel that I can get that change best right now is Oklahoma and Carolina.”
