Rivals100 OG enjoys Oklahoma visit

Rivals100 offensive guard Antonio Logan-El made the trek to Oklahoma this past weekend for an official visit. What did the 6-foot-4, 307-pounder think of his experience in Norman?
"I had Brandon Braxton as my host and it was pretty good. He's a good kid and kept it straight forward with me and I appreciated that," he said. "I took in an academic tour and school tour. I also got a chance to talk with all the coaches including the offensive line coach and Bob Stoops. Then I talked to some players like Braxton, Adrian Peterson and George (Big Dupe) Robinson. The players gave me a good frame of reference about the team."

The surprise of this weekend in college football was Oklahoma's loss to TCU. What did Logan-El think of the game?
"It was a little disappointing because it was a team they clearly could have beaten, but they're a young team and have lost a lot of guys through graduation and the draft," he said. "They are building back up and it'll be fun to see how they rebound next week. The game didn't affect me one way or another with them. You can look at the outcome in two ways, they lost and I don't want to go there or they lost and I can help them. I stayed neutral, but I did like that coach Stoops kept it really positive after the game in the locker room. He didn't beat them up and told them it was good for the team."
Overall Logan-El still had a very good visit and even rated his trip a nine out of 10.
"They surpassed the perspective I had coming in and being there and going through everything, the visit was great," he said. "Oklahoma is a good school and they have good academics, a good program and a solid coaching staff. Coach Stoops finds ways to get his players to play. It showed me a lot to be there first hand and they are still in my top five. They haven't dropped out or anything like that."
The No. 17 player in the country is still unsure if he'll be able to make it to Penn State on October 7th.
"I'm going to play it by ear and we'll see as the season goes along," he said. "I have all my games on Saturday and the proximity to all the schools makes it tough. Most likely I'll have to take the rest of my visits after the season. Then I can eventually narrow my list down to three, then two and one."
Logan-El kicks off his senior season of football this Saturday against Avalon at Georgetown Prep.
"We had our last scrimmage last Wednesday and won against Northwestern 21-6," he said. "It was a real game situation and I had a great half. I recorded eight tackles and four for loss on defense and had 11 pancakes on offense as I only played in the first half.
"I think my team is going to go far this year and I'm filled with more pressure than usual as I think I can carry the team. The harder I play the more my team rallies behind me. I'm taking a lot of responsibility for how the season goes this year."
The No. 1 in Maryland is still planning visits to Florida, Tennessee, Virginia and Penn State before making a decision.
