Rivals100 LB wants two Pac-12 visits

Matthews (N.C.) Butler four-star outside linebacker Peter Kalambayi has been committed to Stanford since back in June, but could another Pac-12 school be making up ground in the chase for the No. 59 overall player in the country?
"I'm solid to Stanford but I'm still looking at Oregon," Kalambayi said Monday. "I might take an official out there. But outside of those two I'm not considering any other schools."

Kalambayi said he's been impressed with the improved Oregon defense this season, especially their athletic linebacker corps.
"I like their speed on defense and how they move their linebackers around," he said. "During the whole process Oregon has been my other choice and I really want to get out there and see it before I finalize my decision."
Kalamayi has been having a great season, leading the way on defense for 9-0 Butler, one of the top high school teams in the country.
He said one of the things that drew him to Stanford in the first place was the way he sees himself fitting in on the Cardinal D.
"What I really like is that they run a 3-4 defense," he said. "I like being a outside linebacker and being able to rush off the edge and that's what they want me to do there."
Even though he's planning to check out the Ducks, Kalamayi said the Cardinal are still very much in the No. 1 spot. He'll also be paying a visit to Palo Alto once his season ends.
"I'm going to take my official to Stanford after the season," he said. "That and the Oregon visit will be it."
Despite both schools being on the other side of the country, Kalaymbayi said he's not worried about moving so far from home. He also said that he's not considering any schools other than Stanford and Oregon.
"I feel like I can handle it," Kalambayi said of the distance. "I've heard from pretty much everyone out there but I'm sticking to those two."
