Rivals100 LB picks up big offer

Christian Jones received a big scholarship offer today. This four-star linebacker prospect has garnered a lot of attention and scholarship offers from some big name schools like Florida, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, Southern Cal and many, many others. Today though he landed another big one and one from a school he has been waiting on for a while.

"Alabama offered today and this is one I have been waiting on," Jones said. "I have family in Alabama and I was born there. So I am very happy about this one.

"I really do like how coach (Nick) Saban turned the program around and the Crimson Tide future is looking pretty good, especially if they have another season like they had in the previous one. Talking with coach Saban is nice and he seems like a pretty good guy and he's the one that told me about the offer."

With Alabama now on board, is it safe to assume that Alabama is at or near the top for Jones?

"They are one of my favorites along with schools like Florida State, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Miami, Tennessee and some others. I am still open."

Jones, from Winter Park (Fla.) Lake Howell High School, was born in Huntsville, Ala. and he has family there and in Slocumb. He's a four-star prospect and a member of the Rivals100.
