Christian Jones is one of the most sought after defensive prospects from the Sunshine State. Jones, 6-4 and 220 pounds, is from Winter Park (Fla.) Lake Howell High School. He is now sitting on 17 scholarship offers, with his last two coming from two SEC schools.
"Ole Miss and South Carolina just recently offered me," Jones said. "I know they both are pretty darn good on defense. I know Ole Miss is the only team that beat Florida last season and I know a little about coach (Steve) Spurrier from South Carolina from when he was at Florida. Other than that I really don't know much about either school. But I can say they are two teams that I am definitely interested in."
Jones, a member of the Rivals100 (No. 67), has been offered by teams like Miami (first offer), Florida State, Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio State and LSU. Is he any closer to narrowing things down?

"No, not right now. It's just too early to tell. Some people think I am going to definitely stay in state but that's just not true. I mean it doesn't matter to me at this point where I go. I just want to find the best school for me."
Jones has been to FSU, Florida, UCF and South Florida. This weekend he will attend the spring game at the University of Florida.
