Four-star linebacker Jarvis Jones had surgery yesterday after breaking his left hand in three places a few weeks ago versus LaGrange (Ga.). Jones, 6-3 and 226 pounds, is a Rivals100 member from Columbus (Ga.) Carver High School.
Jones played through the injury in last week's playoff win against Crisp County. Then the hand swelled up on him post-game. He had three pins placed in his hand during the surgery and is now in a cast.
Carver, who plays Woodward Academy this week in the second of the playoffs, will be without Jones at least for this week. They in fact could be without him for the remainder of the playoffs. But there is some speculation that he may try to play with the cast if Carver advances further in the playoffs.
