Rivals100 LB inches closer to a decision

Following a visit to North Carolina State last month, Rivals100 linebacker Terrell Manning appeared to be on the verge of a decision. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder out of Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland claims he is looking to take one more visit before deciding by the end of the month.
"I'm starting to look at a visit to Tennessee within the next two weeks or so," he stated. "Other than that, I don't have any others planned."

Manning appeared to be favoring State after a visit in June. Is that the case?
"Right now I really like NC State. They are one of my top schools," he said. "I like everything about them. It's easy to get to. It's right down the road. I can drive there and they have a great football environment. NC State is also one of the top schools in our state. I think they'll end up taking over pretty soon.
"It's a bit too much to say they are my top school though. I've got to leave something for the press conference. I'm looking to have one set up in about a week or so for the end of the month."
Obviously the Wolfpack are definitely in consideration. Who else is the four-star prospect looking at?
"I'm taking a visit to Tennessee and then I'd say that Clemson and Florida are up there too," he said. "I haven't visited Florida, but they are a top caliber school. I guess you could say they are on the outside a bit because I'd have to wait to play there.
"As for Clemson, they give me another chance to find early playing time. It's a great environment up there and I like it."
Manning confirmed that at this time, Clemson and NC State appear to be the teams to beat.
"I guess you could say that, but who knows what'll pop up next."
