Rivals100 LB close to narrowing things down

One of the biggest hitters in the class of 2009 is Rivals100 standoutFrankie Telfort. Telfort, 5-11 and 205 pounds, plays linebacker for Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep High School. Last season as a junior, despite playing in only six games, Telfort still recorded 66 tackles, four forced fumbles and recovered two fumbles.
"I tore a ligament in my thumb," Telfort said. "I had a surgery and they put a pin in there. Right now I am feeling good. I played in spring game and played well."

Telfort hasn't participated in any summer football camps yet but he did watch the Miami camp from the sidelines. Next month he will travel to Tallahassee for the FSU one day camp.
"I am going to visit some schools next month. I plan on going to four schools in July, Florida, Clemson, South Carolina, and Tennessee. I might be going to Auburn as well. I guess you can say things have become hectic."
Roughly 50 schools came by Gulliver Prep last month. At first things were exciting for one of the nation's top linebacker prospects.
"I never thought it would be like this. I mean May was like college after college after college. Towards the end it got old. I am ready for a break."
According to Telfort he has 32 scholarship offers at this time from such schools as FSU, Florida, USF, UCF, USC, Notre Dame, LSU, Tennessee, and Clemson.
"Tradition will be big with me. I also have to know the coach will be there for me. I want to pick a school that has a good foundation and stability."
Telfort has made unofficial visits to USF, Florida and Miami.
