Rivals100 LB Breaks It Down

Some might say that size is the most important attribute for a top talent in the high school ranks. Some might say it is all about the speed. But, most will never dispute the heart and instincts of this top talent and Rivals100 team member.
No one can argue that Daytona Beach (FL) Mainland linebacker Buster Davis is the tallest linebacker at 5-foot-10 and the biggest at 227 pounds. But, one would be hard pressed to find a more instinctive or heart driven linebacker in the entire country.

So what does the Rivals100 team member enjoy doing?
"We started practice on Monday," he said. "It feels great being able to hit people. I just love being able to do that on the football field."
It would be obvious that a player that is a Rivals100 team memeber would have plenty of offers and attention for his talents.
"I can't even believe it and I kind of lost count, but I am pretty sure I have 47 scholarship offers at this point," he said. "I have offers from all of my favorites."
And, who would make that list?
"Florida State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Southern California, Georgia Tech and Penn State are my top schools," he said. "But, I would say Florida State is still my favorite."
Is there anything specific about Florida State that has caught your eye?
"I really enjoyed the camp and I loved the coaching staff," he said. "I am looking for a school with a good communications program and a chance to win a national championship with possible early playing time."
"A place in which I feel like it is a good family."
Now, that you have a favorite are there some others that might be able to move in on the top spot?
"Notre Dame, Southern California, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Florida are really giving me the most attention with mail at this point," he said. "So any of them could really have a chance."
"My best offer is the place I will end up giving my commitment."
It is obvious that you have a lot of things to sort through, but do you have any schools you know you will want to visit?
"Oh, yeah," he said. "I am going to take official visits to Southern California and Notre Dame for sure. Most of my visits will be sometime in late December or January."
So would it be safe to assume your decision will be right around signing day?
"I will take all of my official visits so I will wait near signing day or sure," he said. "My mom and dad want to make sure everything is right for me when I make this decision."
And, so does everybody else following this recruitment. It might take a while to get the final word, but there is a large group of schools wanting it to be right for Davis as well.
