Rivals100 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge has been taking a number of unofficial visits and the Concord, N.C. star is has the remainder of his recruitment all mapped out.
Sandidge revealed earlier this week that South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, and Florida are his final five contenders and all but one are scheduled to receive an official visit.
Following the end of the NCAA recruiting dead period in January, Sandidge will take an official visit to Georgia beginning on January 12th. North Carolina will host Sandidge for an official visit the next weekend, January 19th. Sandidge is set to take his official visit to Michigan on January 26th. His final official visit will go to South Carolina beginning on February 2nd.
Sandidige is scheduled to announce his commitment on the February 7th Signing Day.
RIVALS' REACTION...
South Carolina is the favorite to land Sandidge's commitment but official visits carry a lot of weight and those experiences can alter the final decision. Georgia is in a very good position here too and his relationship with defensive line coach Tray Scott is a big factor. The Tar Heels will need to show Sandidge that he has a great opportunity and that they can do a good job of developing him while being very close to home while Michigan's main focus will need to be showing him how he can thrive far from home.
