THE LATEST: Christmas-Giles recently took an unofficial visit to Tennessee and then took his first two official visit to TCU (Dec. 5) and Texas (Dec. 11). He was also offered by LSU on Friday.
RIVALS' REACTION: Over the last few weeks there has been growing thought a decommitment could come from Christmas-Giles, so the news is not a complete shocker. Offers have been arriving from across the country over the last few months, and Friday the LSU Tigers joined the mix.
Where will he go from here? LSU sure seems like the popular pick after extending an offer on Friday. It's the in-state school and coach Orgeron is a great d-line coach and recruiter. Texas did make a positive impression while he was in Austin for his official visit, but he does plan to take the rest of his official visits. Plus it is always hard to pick against LSU for in-state prospects, so right now I predict LSU.
WHAT'S NEXT: Christmas-Giles does not have any other visits scheduled but he does plan to take all five of his official visits. He plans to use the dead period to figure out where and when he will take those official visits. He did not list any possibilities on Sunday, but LSU is one program to watch. Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Nebraska are a few other programs who have been recently mentioned in connection with the standout defensive tackle.
