"I'm ready for football to get rolling," Mesquite, Texas defensive tackle Marco Martin said. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound standout is a member of the Rivals100 team and is one of the top players in the state of Texas.
Finding defensive tackles who are 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds is easy. Finding one that big who can run the 40 in 4.70 seconds is another thing. Martin has used that speed and his size to play running back in high school, but will stick to the defensive line in college.
"It's really about the same schools still. Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M are the ones I'm really looking at. I have scholarship offers from all of them and then a bunch of others too."
"I really don't have a favorite right now of the group of schools."
Martin plans to major in education and that will be a factor in his decision. "I want to find a school that can help me get a good degree in education."
