Rivals100 DT adds another offer

Dallas (Texas) Kimball defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger continues to get a lot of attention on the recruiting trail as the track season rolls on.
“I am going to the Texas Relays tomorrow,” the 6-foot-3, 325-pound Granger said. “The relays are in Austin. I will give me a chance to look around the campus during the junior day that is the same time. I’ll talk to some of the coaches and see the school while I’m there.”

Granger will make another trip to Austin this summer when he takes in the Texas football camp. He also will camp at LSU, Houston and Texas A&M.
“I hopefully won’t be able to make it to the NIKE camp down at College Station,” he said. “If I keep doing good in the discus and the shot, I would be in regionals that weekend. So, in a good way, I hope I can’t come.”
Granger doesn’t have a list of favorites right now. He is just taking in the information that comes his way.
“There is stuff every day,” he said. “I don’t really want to put one school at the top or anything. Texas, LSU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Baylor, Arizona and Oklahoma are some of the schools I get stuff from.”
Granger has had a handful of offers from schools including LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Recently Arizona joined the list.
“Arizona was the last school to offer me,” he said. “It was last week when that offer came from them.”
While Mike Stoops has offered the Rivals100 member a scholarship, Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops has not formalized an offer.
“Oklahoma has talked about offering me, but they have not yet. They’ve told me I’ll have one if I want to come there, but there hasn’t been anything in writing from them.”
