Rivals100 DE waiting on Pac-12 offers

Class of 2015 Atlanta (Ga.) Westminster School and Rivals100 defensive end Russell Ude takes his role as a student-athlete very seriously. So when asked on the one offer he's really waiting for, it's no surprise he says Stanford.
"Stanford has been a school I've been high on for a while and they've been showing more interest," Ude said. "There was a little bit of a disconnect in terms of what they thought I wanted to play and where they think I can fit. They didn't realize I was fine playing anything. Coach Anderson just got promoted and he has been my recruiter so I think an offer might be coming soon. It's one I've wanted for a long time."

Several schools continue to turn up the heat on Ude, including Miami. He said he's planning to visit the Hurricanes sometime soon.
"Miami has been showing a whole lot of love lately," Ude said. "Coach Al Golden is handling my recruiting along with Coach Franklin and they're staying on me every day. I hear from at least one of them every day."
Nearby Georgia has yet to offer Ude, but with the recent staff changes he's hoping to spark up a new relationship with the Dawgs coaches.
"Coach Wilson was my main recruiter and now that he's gone things have been kind of tough," Ude said. "Their new coaches have come to see me and they said they like me a lot but they want to get the staff filed out and then we'll talk some more. I've talked to Coach Pruitt when he was at Florida State and I want to talk to him some more."
Since leaving Georgia for USC, Chris Wilson has been in touch with Ude and his trying to get him on campus soon.
"He said he wants to get me down there, big time," Ude said. "He said they need to get me to camp this summer so all the coaches and see me and confirm my interest. Obviously it's odd for a guy from Georgia to like USC so they want to see my size, work me out, stuff like that."
Ude is planning a busy slate of visits in the coming months, but is still hammering out a schedule with his parents.
