Rivals100 DE mulls over visits

Lots of prospects will use the summer months as an opportunity to get out to some schools for some final unofficial visits before the fall rolls around and the time for official visits arrives.
Faith Ekakitie, however, will have a pretty laid back summer.

The 6-foot-2, 255-pound defensive end from Lake Forest Academy in Illinois will be returning to his home in Canada very shortly. Ekakitie doesn't expect he will venture out too far from home until school starts back up in the fall, meaning his five official visits will be pivotal.
"We're just going to finish up school here in a few days and then I'm heading back home to Canada for the summer. I should be up there the whole time. From there I'll plan on taking all five (official) visits," he explained.
Ekakitie, ranked the No. 100 prospect in the nation by Rivals.com, said that no school is a lock to receive a visit at this point.
He did say that he's most familiar with schools in the Midwest. That shouldn't come as a surprise. So far he has visited Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Wisconsin. He did make a trip down south to Georgia Tech, but for the most part he has been in Big Ten country.
That doesn't mean he'll end up in the Big Ten necessarily.
"Those Midwest schools are showing strong but I'm also really interested in some of the schools out west like UCLA, maybe even Cal and Oregon," he pointed out. "I might even end up looking at some of the schools down south."
Ekakitie went on to say that he hopes to have a decision made before Thanksgiving but he's not set on holding himself to that.
